Day 1 - Arrival at Kochi Airport and Transfer to Munnar - [4 hours]

Upon arrival at Kochi Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed and begin your journey toward Munnar, the picturesque tea country nestled in the hills of central Kerala — and one of the highest-altitude destinations in South India. As you ascend, the scenery transforms dramatically, with rolling tea plantations flanking the road and the air growing refreshingly cool — a perfect prelude to the serene beauty that awaits.

En route, enjoy brief halts at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, and take in the lush greenery of the region's famed tea estates. On reaching Munnar town, you'll transfer to a 4x4 Jeep that will take you to a higher elevation — to a charming treehouse resort perched above the valley, offering panoramic views and an immersive nature experience. Day 2 - In Munnar - at the Nature Zone Tree house Resort in Munnar

In the morning go for a short trek to a viewpoint overlooking a beautiful valley where you can see afar if the clouds, its called the sunrise trek. The weather would be super cool and the ambiance would be amazing. There are numerous options to walk around through amazing landscapes and tea plantation in an around the resort. The resort offers guided jungle treks to various viewpoints (like 180-degree and 360-degree views of Munnar). Exploring the forest hand-in-hand with your partner, discovering hidden paths and local flora and fauna, can be incredibly bonding. A candle light dinner is organised today as part of your Kerala honeymoon package.​​

Day 3 - Visits in and around Munnar

Check out from the Tree house resort in Munnar, return to the town centre by off road Jeep. Begin your day with morning visit to Eravikulam National Park, a protected haven for the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Keep an eye out for these unique mountain goats grazing peacefully amidst the breathtaking mountain vistas, perhaps even catching a glimpse of the majestic Anamudi Peak, the highest in South India. Later in the afternoon, immerse yourselves in Munnar's rich tea heritage with a visit to the historic Lockhart Tea Factory. Here, witness the traditional "orthodox" method of tea production, from the withering of the leaves to the final packaging concluding with a delightful tea tasting session amidst the scenic tea plantations.

Day 4 - Drive to the cardamom hills of Thekkady [3 hours]

Thekkady is known for two things, one is the cardamom plantations and then the Periyar National Park. Cardamom needs a lot of shade and requires a temperature of around 20 to 23 degree celsius to flower. You can see numerous cardamom plantations on both sides of the road even before you reach Thekkady. On arrival at Thekkady proceed for a spice garden tour where you get to know and understand various varieties of spices that we use daily.

By afternoon, drive to the shuttle bus service point of Periyar National Park to go inside the national park in their bus. On arrival hop on a large safari boat where the boat takes you deep into the reservoir where you can spot wild beings of the forest on the banks of the reservoir. The boat ride will be of one and a half hour after which you will proceed to the resort of stay in Thekkady.

Day 5 - Drive to the backwater of Alleppey [4 hours]

After breakfast drive down to Alleppey, often referred to as the Venice of the east and she is beautiful with her lagoons, canals and the backwaters. A serene destination on the shores of the arabian sea where every household has a boat and everybody resides on the backwater banks. On arrival at Alleppey board a Shikara boat and cruise along these narrow canals to explore and see around the backwater life and lifestyle. The smaller boats allow you to do to the remote place through narrow canals, these places are interesting and so is the boat ride.

After the boat ride proceed to the lighthouse beach at Alleppey and further drive to the backwater resort for overnight stay

Day 6 - Drive to the Kochi, later departure [2 hours]

Early morning at 5:30 get ready and proceed to the backwater canals where you would be doing a sunrise kayaking program exploring the backwater by paddling. return to the hotel of stay. After breakfast, check out from the backwater resort and drive to Kochi - The Queen of the Arabian sea. After lunch, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi and Mattanchery, visit the St Francis Church, the Jew town, the Chinese fishing nets and the Dutch Palace at Mattancherry. ​

Further drive to the airport or railway station to board flight or train to the onward destination with beautiful memoirs of five nights and six days of Kerala honeymoon program by Green Earth Trails.

Kerala tour package cabs

  • The cabs used in the 5 days Kerala program are station wagon / Estate models named Kia Carens or Maruti-Suzuki Ertiga

  • These cabs are larger in size and offers more space and comfort, specially since the program has some long journeys involved

  • Kia Carens is diesel and Maruti-Suzuki Ertiga is a CNG / Petrol powered cab

  • It would be either of the cab used for the program

  • Both the cabs can comfortably accommodate upto 4 guests at a time, the last row would be dedicated for luggage​

  • The vehicle and the driver would be the same from the point of arrival till the point of departure, unless there is a personal or medical emergency for the driver.
